A few questions that I'm still confused about...
- It sounds like this post announces a new hardware version of the Surface Hub 2S (e.g., "When all new Surface Hubs ship with the Teams Rooms experience starting later this year").
- Will these have upgraded hardware (compared to current 2S hardware, which is quite old and slow)?
- If so, will current 2S devices be able to upgrade to the newer hardware using a "cartridge" type upgrade as was previously announced years ago?
- Regardless, will current 2S hardware be able to update to this MTR OS?
- My organization is a GCC tenant, and we do not have the ability currently to initiate a "Whiteboard" from an MTR on our current MTR systems (Logitech NUCs now running Windows 11 and Teams version 4.17). I.e., There is no "Whiteboard" button on our MTR interfaces currently. Will this updated OS enable this feature on our Surface Hub 2S devices? Or will these also not be able to do this?
- Along these lines, will GCC tenants finally get the advanced MS Whiteboard app features like handwriting correction, quickly drawing shapes / tables, uploading photos of physical whiteboards to convert them automatically to editable shapes, etc.? We currently cannot do any of these things using the Whiteboard app either on desktop or web or Surface Hub.
- Does this updated MTR OS remove the ability to view and mark up / annotate web pages and documents? This is one of the coolest, most useful features on the current Surface Hubs.
Thanks!
