All notifications on mobile show as new

I have recently reset Chrome on my Android phone, so all the cookies and settings were gone. Since then often when i sign in to this site and go to notifications it just shows ALL of them as new and unread, even from months ago.

I expect to see all notifications as unread on a first login after reset when local data is used for state tracking. But it happened on multiple visits and over several days.

Hey! That actually makes sense—when you reset Chrome on your Android phone, all the cookies, site data, and settings get wiped out. That includes any saved login sessions or site preferences, like which notifications you've already read. So when you log in again, the site treats it like a fresh start and doesn't remember your previous activity, which is why all the old notifications are showing as unread.

It can be a bit annoying, but once you catch up or mark them as read again, it should settle back to normal. Hope that helps!

When you reset Chrome (or clear app data/cache, or even just cookies and site data), it removes the local storage and session data the site uses to track what notifications you’ve already viewed. So when you log back in, unless the site itself keeps a record of "read" vs "unread" notifications server-side (which it sounds like it might not in this case), it treats everything as unread because your browser no longer has that info.  TRY

Log out and log back in — sometimes this forces a sync with server-side records if they exist.
