Sharepoint site synced via file explorer regularly disconnects without errors
We have an issue with one particular sharepoint site in our organisation, where, seemingly randomly, it stops syncing on user devices. No errors, nothing, just the cloud icons disappear and it's no long in sync, until you go and re-sync it. This is happening on only one site, but has happened on 10+ different devices over the past month or so. The site in question only has about 6k files in it, it's about 30gb.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?
Currently how I'm finding out about it is a user contacts me with "Bob is saying he can't see the file I save in XYZ folder but I saved it in there over a week ago". I go an look and can't see the file, check their machine and it's stopped syncing that same site, resync it and it works again for maybe a month.

Hi I am having the same issue with one of my customers. Is there any info on this or resolution?

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a definitive solution to this issue. It tends to be intermittent and unpredictable. As a workaround, I advise users to access the SharePoint site directly and to pay close attention to the cloud icon versus the local icon in File Explorer to ensure they’re aware of the file’s sync status.
In some cases, the classic "turn it off and back on" approach resolves the issue—but not always. At this point, I’m at a loss for how to fully prevent it. I wish I had a more reliable fix to offer.

Experiencing the same lately. Frustrating to put it mildly.
