563 TopicsTeams (Desktop app) - need more noticeable notifications on Teams Desktop App
At work, I have had skype as our primary messaging app for considerable years. But now, my team is moving towards using Teams group. I have Teams desktop application installed alongside Skype. In using the Teams app, I am facing a major problem of NOT noticing chat/team/group messages. The taskbar icon just has a static message counter on it. If someone messages me while I have stepped out, I won't notice the static taskbar icon and will miss it until a new message arrives or as late as the next day. It is not all noticeable. Quick replies are expected of an instant messaging app (I know it is much more than an IM app) I have never faced such an issue with Skype as the highlight on the skype taskbar icon keeps blinking until I read all the messages. There is a feature to use windows based notifications but windows notifications are not that great. Is anyone else facing such issues? Any solution is really appreciated.5.2KViews1like5CommentsAnnouncement Playback Service chat ¡HEPL!
Hello, for a few weeks now, one or two chats with the same name "Announcement Playback Service" have been appearing in my recent chats without explanation. Since the new chat update, they have remained permanently static in recent chats. I can't remove them, delete them, move them, or hide them. They're very annoying. I want to remove them. Does anyone know how? I've attached photos. (desktop and web versions) is the same problem When trying to move them from container: When I hit "Discard" nothing happens:1.7KViews0likes4CommentsAdd Group Chat As A Channel
Hi all, I am wondering if there is a way to make a channel in a team that behaves the same as a group chat. I understand the advantages and disadvantages of conversations vs chats. Basically I like having conversation for work related things, the threads are good for organizations etc. At the same time I would prefer having a channel for general chit chat that behaves like a group chat (with the reply behavior of a chat and the general flow of a chat.) Yes I could just make a group chat that has the same members as my team but it is less comfortable to continuously go between the Teams tab and the Chats tab, and also inviting members to both the Group and the Chat can be annoying when there are many of them. Is there a way to do this that I missed?132KViews26likes41CommentsAnnouncement Playback Service chat ¡HEPL!

A feature many can benefit from at the enterprise level is allowing multiple people to share screens and then allow the viewers to easily see what screen is selected. 1 person can drive and switch screens but when it switches its the user who's screen is sharing at that time. The issue we encounter is with our Scrum teams and Scrum Masters driving the screen but then we have product owners who regularly run the meetings as well. It is a pain to keep waiting for screens to stop sharing and the other person connecting. It takes time every time so we end up having 1 person drive the whole time but then our flow is a bit more choppy. I think about this as being in person and 1 person standing up to present and the other person having a comment or wanting to write something on the board or show something they can just get up and do it. I see this working in Teams virtually when multiple people are collaborating and have different tools they are using. Some on our calls are using Salesforce, Rally, SNOW, excel, power point, etc and trying to show all across multiple people who own each of those documents is a pain.Solved93KViews23likes15CommentsTeams Call History Not Updating After Recent Teams Update
Hi All, We have had a few calls from our users about the built in teams call history not accurately tacking incoming and outgoing calls correctly, You will login in the morning and your first 3-4 calls will be tracked normally but then when you look a few hours later you have "apparently" not made or gotten any calls. I have found a work around by just closing teams fully by quitting it and reopening it and that seems to fix it for a little while but the next day it does the same. It seems to be effecting most of the business. It only seems to of started happening this frequently after the new UI update a few weeks back Anyone else getting similar behaviour? Thanks, Brad11KViews1like17CommentsTeams search changed, and is now useless
I don't know when this happened but search has changed in teams recently, and it's unbelievably useless. Searching within a single conversation isn't intuitive. Took me forever to figure out how that works. But the biggest problem is that now when I search it returns results and in the past when I'd click the item in the results list, it would take me to that point in time of the entire conversation. Now it just shows me the single message and I can't see the entire conversation surrounding it. Since the conversation was back in July, and this is a person I talk to all day every day scrolling back to that point in time would take a VERY long time. Basically we're encountering an issue in our development environment that happened previously and I fixed it back in July but it's happening again and I don't remember what we did to fix it. So I search for the term I need, get the messages around that time in July, and I see just that one message but I need to see the entire conversation. This is a terrible change that wasn't thought through. How can I get it to rewind to that point in time without having to scroll up for 20 minutes?22KViews9likes22CommentsCan no longer add People to a chat and include chat history in Microsoft Teams?
Used to be able to add additional people to a chat and get option to show chat history with add person icon at top of screen. Now, when press button you only get the option to start a brand new group chat and never given option to include chat history.. this was a VERY useful feature that seems to have been removed? Not sure if this on purpose or is this a bug?180KViews6likes39Comments
