Announcing new file template management for document library content types

Today, we’re pleased to announce lists from Excel begins roll out to customers in Microsoft 365. This is a new way to create a list, saving you time while putting the data in a location that opens new scenarios. To create a list from Excel, you can select a table from the Excel files in the SharePoint site, or from your device. We are pleased to announce the inclusion of metadata-driven filtering to the filters pane, originally introduced in late 2016. The filters pane provides a powerful way to automatically use the fields you had previously configured for library and list metadata navigation and key filters. The pane uses machine learning to suggest the most likely columns to be used for filtering.
