2306 TopicsMake Bookings calendar events private by default?
Hi everyone! We are currently attempting to use Microsoft Bookings with external people. When someone books an appointment with us, a calendar entry that includes the full name of the person booking the appointment is created in the staff's calendar. The staff's calendar is visible throughout the entire organization, meaning everyone can see who scheduled an appointment with us. This is a privacy issue for us. Making these appointments private in the Outlook calendar would be a solution, but I can't seem to find an option to make Bookings appointments private by default. Changing calendar permissions is also not an option for our organization. I was also not successful in building a flow with Power Automate since linking the booking to a meeting turned out to be difficult. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!14Views0likes1CommentI can't add an O365 email to Outlook desktop client but I can access it from the web
I can't add a O365 to Outlook desktop client but I can access from the web This a weird thing, whenever I try to add in Outlook from File > Add Account I get the message "Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't set up your account". From Control Panel > Mail > Email accounts > New > Manual Setup > here I put the email and gets stuck at "Searching for... Settings" and then " An encrypted connection to your email is not available, click Next to attempt using an unencrypted connection", so I do that and get the error "We're sorry we couldn't set up your account automatically. To try setting up the account yourself click Next" which is basically the same. Everything works fine in the browser, any ideas on this?16KViews0likes8CommentsAVD - Sign-in issues with O365 applications
Hi everyone Our AVDs are currently running on Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045.5854) For some time now, our users have been experiencing issues signing in to certain Office 365 applications, especially OneDrive and Outlook. For many users, the sign-in gets stuck in an endless loop. The affected AVD host then needs to be restarted for the sign-in to Outlook and OneDrive to work again. In the event log, we often encounter the following error: "A fatal error occurred while creating a TLS client credential. The internal error state is 10013." Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution for it?113Views0likes3CommentsOutlook365 rule for incoming CC and BCC messages
Hello, here is my question about Outlook 365 rules I receive messages addressed two different email addresses: myself_at_example.com and mygroup_at_example.com By default, all these messages arrive in my inbox and are addressed to either of the next three boxes: Some messages are addressed to the “To” box Some messages are addressed to the “Cc” box Some messages are addressed to the “Bcc” box I simply want to move these messages to Outlook folders with the same name. The folders “My Cc” and “My Bcc” are created by me in Outlook 365 Messages addressed to the “To” box stay in the Inbox folder Messages addressed to the “Cc” box to be moved to the outlook folder “My Cc” Messages addressed to the “Bcc” box to be moved to the outlook folder ”My Bcc” Suggested (non existing) outlook rules: Step: Start Apply rule on messages I receive. Step: Select condition(s) Sent to my Cc box Step: Select action(s) Move it to the “My Cc” folder Or Step: Start Apply rule on messages I receive. Step: Select condition(s) Sent to my Bcc box Step: Select action(s) Move it to the “My Bcc” folder I cannot find a solution in Outlook 365.14KViews0likes7CommentsFeature "Translate" missing in Outlook
The Feature "Translate" is missing in Outlook. We have the latest Update of the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel (Version 2302, Build 16130.20714). The Feature is missing in the ribbon, and also in the Options under "Language". I only have "Office display language" and "Office authoring languages and proofing" but no "Translation". Can it be somehow installed?7.4KViews0likes7CommentsRecent message move issue in Outlook 365 shared mailbox
Starting around Monday 5/12 (could have been over the weekend) we're seeing behavior where moving an email from one folder to another in a shared mailbox is appearing to move correctly in Outlook software (classic enterprise version) but not reflecting in web view. This creates a duplicate of sorts and have to address on the web side. Same behavior with two different accounts that have access to the same shared mailbox on newest (current channel) and slightly older version of 365 software. When using python automation that has worked for months, it's now effectively creating a copy from Inbox in our In Progress folder, and a 3rd copy in Done folder. When processing cycle hits again, it's reprocessing (bad) and creating a mess of duplicates. Anyone else experiencing this or have any idea what may have happened or how to resolve? Thanks jtSolvedHow do you make a Shared Mailbox the default Send From account? (New Outlook)
I'm using Outlook for Windows version 1.2025.109.100 (on behalf of another user). I'm reading some suggestions online that say you need to add the account to Outlook first before making it the default Send From. I'm also looking at the Help section in Outlook that directs you to change this in the Compose and Reply settings. However, it's not possible to sign into a mailbox that isn't a user. I thought you used to be able to 'sign into' a shared mailbox using your own account but that is not the case now (perhaps it never was?). What it seems like is that we instead need to convert "Accounting" to a User account, give it a license, then sign into it in Outlook. That's not a Shared Mailbox - that's a user mailbox. I don't want to create a point of weakness for a potential cyber-attack (which we've had several). I can't really set up MFA for this account that no one can maintain. And I really don't want to have to spend money on a license to do something just because one piece of software is incompatible. Having to repeatedly instruct people and then repeatedly remind them to change their FROM account is just bonkers. On Outlook for Mac, as long as you're in the Shared Mailbox, the default FROM is that mailbox. (but, don't get me started on how much better the Mac version of Outlook is than the Windows version - see: All Accounts)481Views0likes3CommentsSpam Events Reappear on Calendar
Spam calendar events keep reappearing on an iPhone despite purging the source .ics emails from the user’s Exchange Online mailbox. Details: The spam events originally came from .ics attachments sent to a distribution list (info@...) that the user is a member of. The user’s mailbox was searched using Microsoft Purview; four matching items were found and purged using New-ComplianceSearchAction -Purge -PurgeType HardDelete. The purge completed successfully with Item count: 4, Failed count: 0, and Status: Completed. Despite this, the same 4 emails reappear in subsequent compliance searches. The mailbox has no litigation hold, retention hold, or in-place hold enabled. The recurring spam events continue to show up on the iPhone calendar after deletion. Why do the messages still appear in content search after a successful purge, and how do I fully remove the associated calendar events from the iPhone? Any help here would be greatly appreciated!66Views0likes1CommentCan't get Exchange inbox to sync on Android Outlook app
I have been dealing with this issue for a year. I am an IT Tech and I cannot get my email to sync on my phone and the other techs can't figure it out either. I downloaded the Outlook app on my phone and set my work account up manually (adding server and domain name, etc) and by choosing Exchange. But the inbox will not sync. I tried it on my wife's phone as well but it also will not sync the inbox so I have a feeling that there is something wrong with my account. My coworker logged into his account on my phone and his inbox immediately synced, so I don't think it is an issue with my phone but possibly an issue with my account. I even deleted my email account in the EAC and created a new one but I am having the same problem. My organization uses Exchange 2013. Things I have tried on my phone- restarting phone, changing settings in the Android Outlook settings: battery is set to unrestricted, "allow data usage while data saver is on" is set to on, and turning off "remove permissions if app is unused". Is there a setting in either the Microsoft 365 admin center or the Exchange admin center that I need to change?80Views0likes1CommentIn Outlook if I select Do Not Send a Response does my acceptance not get noted?
I have been doing this for ages - when I don't want to spam someone's inbox I accept invites and select do not send a response. But recently (although I suspect it's always been this way) people have been saying that they see my response as 'None' when they look at the Tracking tab. I saw that some people have complained of this in the past, but I would have assumed that it's not possible that this could still be the behaviour as it makes literally no sense that when I have accepted an invite, my response is shown as None. Can anyone confirm behaviour as it's a little confusing Thanks!41Views0likes3Comments
