Powerpoint in Mac is missing some fonts
Hello Techies, I recently came across an issue that could be a small issue according to you, but I feel these are very crucial for some users. I am going to be frequently using PowerPoint, where I use a particular font, 'Abadi.' I would appreciate it if someone could help me with a fix regarding this.
word template repeating a field that contains multiple values
How can we have a field/column which contains multiple values repeat in a template. steps I followed Click on the parent node right click then 'repeating' in the content control box then right click on field/column then insert as plain text Still I only see the last value of the column. I was expecting it will give all the values that the column has on by one.
Grammar Correction Glitch.
Is Word just expressing a grammatical preference here? In word, type in the following sentence: He lay there, his eyes open. Then hit enter. It will prompt you to change the comma to a semi-colon. Let it do that. It produces "He lay there; his eyes open." It wants to correct the semi-colon to a comma. Here, I'll show you in this .gif that I captured: Does the same happen for you?
Office 2024 word issue: Some text after cursor deleted after save
Hi everyone, After upgrading from Office 2019 to Office 2024, I encountered a bizarre issue with Word: when saving a document, some text following the cursor would disappear. After some digging, I found that deleting the registry key at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Word\Resiliency\DisabledItems resolved the issue for me. A few questions: - Has anyone else experienced a similar problem after upgrading? - Is removing this registry entry a recommended fix, or are there risks associated with it? - Could there be a more permanent solution or an upcoming update addressing this? I'm running Office 2024 LTSC. Any insights or similar experiences are appreciated!
mail merge select recipients got broken
This feature worked before with an office enterprise 2007, but it started behaving oddly some days ago. Option 1. type a new list throws error: Class not registered Option 2. use an existing list creates wrong file path by cutting the file name and appending file extension to the last folder. E.g.: the file to be used as data source in mail merge is C:\Users\me\folder1\folder2\data.xlsx, but the mail merge dialog box shows: C:\Users\me\folder1\folder2.xlsx In step by step mailmerge wizard, there is not option to select excel data source at step 3/6. I can select "Special" and then narrow down to Excel files, but no table data is shown after selecting any .xls(x) file. Most probably this freature has been broken since an office pro plus 2019 installation attempt (but i m not sure 100%). Is there a common office registry setting that blocks this feature and makes such weird behavior? In fourth quarter of 2024, I decided to upgrade my machine and tried out a web only version (freeware) of Microsoft 365. After some time, I found out that I was not getting the qualities I needed for documentation to be presentable as Microsoft Word and Excel were not usable for print formats. I decided to buy a Microsoft 365 Business subscription (bought through my domain provider) which allowed me to use my email address attached to me and my website domain. This allowed me to also download desktop copies of Word and Excel. However, I ran into problems with old accounts colliding with my new ones..., for example, Skype for Business, Microsoft Store, and Microsoft Live would constantly appear in my installation admins. If I attempted to install them, the installation would fail and get stuck i.e, I could not remove them. Microsoft message pop-ups would state, "You cannot install this on a 'work' account." I thought to myself, "Okay, I installed my Windows OS as a "Work Account on my new machine." This made sense, because I could go to my browser on my new machine and I could go to my old laptop that had absolutely no Microsoft 365 on it and access my Office from my browser profile. My old laptop is the only machine that accepts the Windows Live email address i.e., it acts as a Windows Live access service via the 'free' outlook account to which it is attached. However, now that all these items are separated by Work or Home classification, I keep getting messages that state, "We cannot renew your Microsoft 365 account." But my Work account should not be attached to Microsoft Live accounts...should it? After all, it uses Entra ID for access and the subscription is bought through my domain vendor. Why is Microsoft Support sending me these emails? My original setup accessed Microsoft Live accounts via the web through my old laptop using my free Outlook email and looked something like the graphic below:How to insert a master foot note in many other word documents
Hi there, I can't find the proper information on how to create a separate footnote MS document and link it into other of my MS document. I need to have a sord of template that I could modify at one place and then will be updated in all other MS documents that I had insert it. ** I've tried to use : insert -- text tab -- object -- text to file. And then "Insert as a link" the footer MS file but there is nothing that has been imported... I don't get it. thanks, CC
