Accepting Azure Credit.
Hello Everyone, I've been trying to accept our Azure non-profit credit however every time I try it keeps telling me that your billing account already has credits. (didn't understand the process at first so I signed up for a free account with a $200.00 credit.) Does anyone know how to accept this? I tried to create a support ticket but when I input what's happening it jumps to solution and doesn't give me the option to submit anything. Any help would be great.Solved50Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft 365 Backup - Azure Grant
Hi, I'm working for a small non-profit here in the UK, and they've recently received the Azure $2000 grant. Does anyone know if the grant can be used with Microsoft 365 Backup provided through Microsoft Syntex. It says you need an Azure subscription for the pay-as-you-go billing, but it doesn't appear on the list of Azure services. Hello. I work at a small charity and I’m trying to determine which version of Dynamics is suitable for us. I can’t find any clear information as to the differences between the different versions and which might be best for us. Our main areas of focus are: Service user details - e.g. name, address, membership number, medical issues, etc. Case details - each user could have many cases (such as dealing with a landlord, or pension issues), with each case having many contacts at different dates. Activities - many different activities, with many instances of each one (like twice weekly badminton). We would be able to find an SU, click on their details, pull up a list of their cases past and present, add additional contact details to their case for each contact we have with them, say how long the contact was, and how much was charged. Also, see what clubs/activities they’ve attended and when. We want a weekly/monthly calendar view booking system for reception to book SU contacts/appointments. In the future, we might want to have it available on the internet for SUs to book a slot themselves. For each instance of an activity, record who came, who paid a fee (if there was one). Be able to apply various tags to each SU (e.g. volunteer, paid member, daycare user), so we can have a list at a glance and be able to run reports on just those people. Running reports to see who did what activity, when they did it, who did what activity, how many case contacts we had between two dates, how much money was generated, etc. would be great. We are not focused on dealing with individual donors or fundraising, but we are interested in keeping a list of grant applications we’ve submitted and what money we’ve received from them, if any. Our charity has a very limited budget, so the system would be designed and put together by myself. My questions are: Which version of Dynamics is best for us? Will it be free from MS, or do we have to apply for some kind of grant? We are already registered as a nonprofit with MS. Will MS give us Dynamics so we can produce our own software, or do we have to do it though a Partner? If with a Partner, does it cost money? We're a small charity with a very small budget, so can't afford to spend big money on things, unfortunately. Many thanks.Solved643Views0likes6CommentsStripe integration
Edit: this has now been resolved in the latest version of F&E (dated April 2024) that now uses Stripe client-side tokenization. We have it working as expected in a test environment. Hi all We are in the process of linking F&E to Stripe (test mode for now) to take credit card transactions. In the Payment Processor I have set the Stripe Service Key field to the Stripe Publishable Key value. The API Key field has been set to the Stripe Secret Key value. This is not well documented, but @chrisw_tes advised this was working correctly for them in another post in this forum. These API credentials have been transferred into Azure as per the documentation. When I add a Stripe test credit card to a transaction (stage 1), it completes successfully and I can see a token has been returned in the Stripe logging. When I process the transaction (stage 2), if fails with "Unsuccessful response from Stripe - secret_key_required". I can see a similar error in the Stripe logging - suggesting a publishable API key has been used instead of a secret key, incorrectly. But the POST did include the token created in stage 1. So I tried setting both values in the Payment Processor to the secret key - but then the addition of the credit card (stage 1) fails, suggesting that "sending credit card numbers directly to the Stripe API is generally unsafe". Please can anyone offer some advice here - is F&E using the wrong key in stage 2 and this is a bug? Or have I made a mistake in the config somewhere? Many Thanks! Added a couple of members who have commented on Stripe in this forum: BobKanzler jjbh_ as they might well have some further insight! Thanks!Solved1.7KViews1like6CommentsLinkedIn Sales Navigator & Fundraising and Engagement
Hi all Just wondering if there is any offering for MS Partners to be able to install an instance of LinkedIn Sales Navigator (LISN) on a sandbox Power Platform environment running MS NFP solutions, as I see that Fundraising and Engagement can be integrated with LISN. As a partner it would be nice to be able to demonstrate this functionality to potential customers, but as far as I can see this isn't possible without purchasing a full license. Does anyone else have experience here? Thanks in advance.Solved495Views0likes3CommentsHow are other folks handling direct mail lists, specifically deduping households and salutations?
I'm curious how other F&E customers approach generating direct mail lists. Some of the issues at play: Multiple household members > 1 piece of mail If we build a report or marketing list around Contacts, each household member will appear as a row in the list and will need to be deduped at some point to ensure the same family doesn't receive multiple mailings. If we build a report around Accounts, that will only include Contacts with a household account specified. Is anyone taking the NPSP approach and auto-creating household Accounts for *every* contact, regardless of the number of household members? Or instead running multiple queries to build lists around Contacts without households, then Contacts with households? Or perhaps if Contacts have a related Household, only include them if they are marked as the "Primary Household Member" in the "Household Relationship" field? If creating Households for everyone, I assume also building automation to update address values in some capacity across records? Household greetings/salutation Who's using these? Did you build out significant automation to generate and update the fields? It seems... tricky to automate all the permutations (Contact record deleted or moved to another Household, how to manage order of the names, etc). But manual seems problematic as well... Have you taken a totally different approach to generating salutations?Solved973Views1like7CommentsFree trial for summit attendees?
Appreciate all the conversations, sharing of use cases, and especially the copilot demo. I am in! But I'm getting lost in the options for nonprofits. My org is 8 people, and I've also heard that copilot is only available for orgs of 300+. Is there a free trial available? If not, it'd be great if there were one--at least for the orgs who committed the time to join the summit in Bellevue. Appreciate everyone!Solved975Views2likes5CommentsHow will AI impact your nonprofit's workplace culture? What is your strategic play to prepare?
AI Generated Image: Create a visual to represent these concepts The most recent AI research shows there are clear productivity benefits for getting stuff done, learning new things, and reducing overload. So, as we adapt to this new way of working, there could be three phases or different scenarios Early: The Persistent Tides A Future of Continuity: In this scenario, the impact of AI on the workplace is significant but not transformative. The workplace culture (slowly) adjusts to the integration of AI, leading to improved productivity, but the fundamental nature of most jobs remains unchanged. Mid: The Rogue Wave: A Future of Workplace Upheaval This scenario is a transformation in the workplace due to AI. It predicts a massive increase in AI power, leading to significant job changes, altering the nature of work, and requiring significant re-skilling and professional development efforts. Mature: Navigating the Changing Tides: Adjust To Work Integration of AI leads to a significant reshaping of work and finding new ways to work. It potentially leads to more sustainable work practices and a better balance work-life balance. AI becomes a force multiplier for serving stakeholders and increases impact. What is your strategy short-term and long-term to adapt your nonprofit to these changes?Solved957Views5likes6CommentsAzure Arc endpoints

With the recent announcement of changes to both Dynamics 365 licensing and Azure credits, some nonprofits (especially small ones who may have installed the solution but aren't using it) are going to need to find alternatives. Perfect example of this: Remove All Aspects Of Microsoft Nonprofit Cloud Fr... - Power Platform Community Just wondering if anyone has links, resources or experience in removing the 'cost-producing' elements of the solution? In Fundraising and Engagement, there are standard adjustment related fields (“Is Adjusted”, "Adjustment Comment", "Adjustment Reason", "Original Transaction Adjusted"-Lookup to original transaction being adjusted, etc.) on the Transaction record. These fields are open for editing during the creation of a new Transaction record, but locked as expected when that new Transaction is processed/completed. Hi all, I've posted this to the regular community forum as well, and there are a lot more details in that thread, but posting here just in case some smart nonprofit folks have a suggestion for me 🙂 Basically - looking to send a Customer Journeys email to a list of contacts that has been compiled outside of Dynamics. I can get the Contacts into Dynamics without too much of a headache. Where I'm getting stuck is best approach for getting them into an email-able list of some kind. It appears I'm unable to import relationships between Segment <> Contact (for either Real Time or Outbound); I have a couple of ideas for how to work around this (use Marketing Lists + Segments; use a temporary Contact helper field + Outbound Segment Query) but curious how other folks have solved for this if you're willing to share!
