Connect teams and old Skype name

Hey there!   Glad to see the consumer Skype to Teams interoperability is working, I really appreciate that feature!

 

My question is how do I contact a Skype user who hasn't set up an email address?  Old Skype users simply have a username, and some of them haven't connected a Microsoft account.  Is there a way to contact them through Teams?

    I have the same problem - I have old Skype account with just a username, it also clashes with a second different skype account with and email that is username@emaildomain

      I was finally able to resolve this.  Eventually after chat support from Skype/Microsoft they confirmed that I did indeed have the Skype credit on this account and I was able to log in on a different PC to use it.  I still don't know why I couldn't login on my primary PC, we used "incognito / private" windows, but the login failed with "internal error" message.  At least for now I can use up my remaining Skype credit using my second device and then go from there.
